Derby County boss Wayne Rooney is backing Marcus Rashford to become a Manchester United legend.

Rashford played alongside Rooney for just over a year at United.

Rooney scored 253 goals for United across a glittering stint at the Theatre of Dreams where he won five Premier League titles.

And The Athletic reports the Derby boss has told friends he thinks his former team-mate can match his goal tally for the club.

The 23-year-old has scored 83 times for the Red Devils since being given his debut in 2016 and he's spoken out on his determination to achieve plenty of success over the coming years.
