Derby County boss Billy Davies admits he's spent the summer fending off interest for Giles Barnes.

"I've had phone calls and there has certainly been interest in Giles Barnes," admitted Davies.

"I've said before that we don't want to sell. We want to add to the squad and we want to keep Giles continuing his development at Derby County.

"He's got to prove he can make an impact in the Premiership and then his time will come if he continues to progress."
