Championship Wigan striker Oriol Riera is close to completing a loan move to Spanish side Deportivo la Coruna. The 28 year old has scored just one goal in 13 appearances since joining from Osasuna on a three-year deal in June.
"All parties feel that it is probably best that he goes back there and plays for a short period of time," said Latics boss Malky Mackay.
"So that is what is going to happen and is ongoing."
Deportivo have said on their club website that Riera will have a medical ahead of a potential move.
