Costel Pantilimon is set to quit Deportivo La Coruna for a return to England.

The former Manchester City and Watford goalkeeper signed for Depor in August on the request of former coach Pepe Mel.

Pantilimon saw action under Mel, but after his sacking the Romania goalkeeper has found himself sidelined at the Riazor. A return to England is now expected in the coming hours.

AS says Pantilimon is in advanced talks with Championship outfit Nottingham Forest and Depor won't stand in his way.

The arrival of Ukraine goalkeeper Maksym Koval from Dynamo Kyiv has hastened Pantilimon's departure.
