Departing Roma coach Paulo Fonseca says he always gave his best to the club.
It was announced on Tuesday that Fonseca will leave at the end of this season - and replaced by Jose Mourinho.
“In these two years we have experienced ups and downs," the coach told the club's official website. “But I have always given my best for this club and for this city, which has welcomed me very well.
“I want to thank all Roma fans, the people who work with us at Trigoria, the players, those who have supported us on this path, in particular Dan and Ryan Friedkin for their continuous support since they arrived and Tiago Pinto, an excellent professional, to whom I wish you the best in your path with this club.
“We still have very important games to win this season and we will give our best, as always. Thank you, Roma."
