Departing Brentford captain Jansson: Don't restore Ibrahimovic statue at Malmo

Departing Brentford captain Pontus Jansson says a Zlatan Ibrahimovic should NOT be restored at Malmo stadium.

Jansson is returning to Malmo this summer, where AC Milan striker Ibrahimovic also played. But the Swedish great now is a co-owner of Hammarby, which has angered MFF fans.

He said, "It must not be in Malmö, or it can be in Malmö, but it must not be in the stadium area.

"It hurts to say it, he was my idol when I was a child and he was so strongly connected to Malmö. So it is very sad that Zlatan is no longer.

"It is sad and sad that it ended like this with Malmö.

"It is certainly the case that I do not know the whole truth or the whole picture of it. I just think it's sad that he's involved with Hammarby instead of Malmö, that's the truth.

"There are various statements he has made that people have reacted to. He has said he wants to make Hammarby the most powerful in Scandinavia and these things."
