Dennis Gyamfi is leaving Leicester City this week.
The Leicester Mercury says the Foxes have been stunned by the news highly rated fullback Gyamfi will leave the club when his contract expires on Tuesday, June 30.
The 18-year-old full-back was among the players that Leicester confirmed had been offered a new deal when the retained list was announced last week, along with goalkeeper Oliver Bosworth midfielder Kasey McAteer and striker Dempsey Arlott-John.
However, Leicester have now been informed that Gyamfi will not be putting pen to paper on a new deal and sees his future lying away from the King Power Stadium.
That news came as a shock to Leicester, who were keen to keep the Netherlands youth international after promoting him to first-team training following the league's three-month hiatus due to the coronavirus crisis.
