Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand has called up Brentford defender Mathias 'Zanka' Jørgensen.
Zanka has been called in after an injury suffered by Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen in their Euro qualifying win against Finland.
Hjulmand explained: "We are hit hard. I've never had two centre-backs break down. Then we have to bring in someone who knows how we do things and who must be able to play in two- and three-man defense and know exactly how we do things.
"I have assessed that Zanka was the best solution for that. Of course, his situation, where he hasn't played much lately, counted.
"But we have good contact with Brentford and we know that they play internal matches where he has played through and he looks good physically.
"We are not afraid that he physically cannot handle it, and it is as a backup role. So I have assessed that the fact that he knows about things, I have given more weight to that than bringing a brand new player with me who might play a bit more."
