Leander Dendoncker has admitted he thought about leaving Wolves this season.
The Belgian arrived from Anderlecht in the summer and only played nine minutes of football before Christmas. He has since started Wolves' last three games.
Dendoncker told Belgian newspaper HLN: "I can not deny that the beginning was difficult. Of course I have thought about a departure.
"Mentally it was difficult. Recharge yourself to train harder the next day than the players who were (in the team). You automatically think of that. I had not come here to avoid the selection.
"I try to give the best of myself – and will continue to do my thing. I tried to get ready for the moment that I would get my chance. Just work, do not talk too much. That's how I sit. Silently doing my best on training.
"Anyway, it is good that I am finally part of the group, of the team. I'm enjoying it.
"The last few weeks things are going better."
