Mousa Dembele has lavished praise on his teammate Erik Lamela.

The latter has been the star of the show for Tottenham in recent games, managing eight goals and assists in the past eight games.

Lamela may have problems staying fit all season, but it is clear he is a top player when he is match fit. And Dembele only hopes that Lamela will be able to show even more of his quality in the rest of the season.

He said of Lamela to the Evening Standard: "He's on fire! It's unbelievable. He is helping us a lot. Skills, goals, work-rate — everything we could ask from a top player like him.

"Everyone knows he has a strong mentality. That's why I think he has now improved a lot. You can see he's so important for us. I'm happy he is showing the world what he is capable of."
