Ousmane Dembele's camp are unhappy with Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde after comments made about the Frenchman's injury.
Dembele has just undergone successful thigh surgery after breaking down in the first-half of victory at Getafe. He is expected to be sidelined for four months.
Diario Gol says there's some anger inside the player's camp over Valverde's post-match comments, where he suggested a more experienced player would've avoided such an injury.
"He never had a muscle problem, he does not have that experience to recognize the small annoyances or the aggressive gestures to alleviate that. When going at that speed and makes a backheel that is aggressive for the hamstring, I do not say that its normal, but it falls within the odds. It's a very risky gesture," said Valverde.
Dembele's confidants believe the criticism was unnecessary, convinced the coach should be fully supporting his young signing at this time and not questioning his actions.
Inside Barca, officials have chosen not to respond to the complaints, urging Dembele's reps to simply focus on his recovery.
