Fabian Delph believes in the potential of the Aston Villa squad.
Delph believes patience is needed for the squad's younger players to establish themselves.
"I signed for a top-six club challenging for top four," he says. "The structure is still in place but for whatever reason we've not managed to reach the targets that were there when I first came.
"There were a lot of international players: John Carew for Norway, Brad Friedel for America, Richard Dunne for Ireland, James Collins for Wales. Stan (Petrov) had something like five million caps for Bulgaria.
"We've brought players in who are young, hungry and talented. It's just a matter of time before it starts to click."
