Dejan Lovren has dropped a big hint he plans to stay with Liverpool next season.
Lovren has just one year on his contract and there is a feeling that his time on Merseyside may have run its course.
But the 30-year-old has hinted during an interview with the club's official website that he is thinking about the team's long-term ambitions, suggesting he will be a part of that.
“It's important to have a mix between really young players, the middle [age] players and the experienced players. I think we have it, this is the great balance," Lovren said when discussing Liverpool's progress.
“We are used to playing big finals and the big games and we know how to manage it.
"Even when we are 1-0 down we know what to do. This is why it's important to have a balance in the team.
“If we keep the important players and the core of the team here for many years, we will only grow."
