Former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein has compared the club's present squad under manager Mikel Arteta to the team under Arsene Wenger.
Dein, who was in charge at the club when Wenger was appointed as manager in the 1990s, sees similarities in Arteta.
He also compared the young Spanish coach to the man he worked under at Manchester City - Pep Guardiola.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Dein said: "I think he's [Arteta] doing really well.
"You can see the way the team are playing that he's had a good tuition from Arsene [Wenger] and Pep [Guardiola] because he's playing their type of football which is a pleasure to watch.
“It is coming through and the fact they're doing well now means hopefully it'll come through for them at the end of the season.
"It's been a long time [since Arsenal won the Premier League] from the Invincibles of 2003/04. Arsenal fans would love to see the league trophy back in the cabinet.
“It would mean a lot obviously, the competition is so intense clearly when you have four or five clubs that can win the title."
