Defour ready to help Burnley revival

Steven Defour is ready to help Burnley get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

With just a single point from the opening five games, Burnley know they cannot afford to continue losing games in the league.

And Defour is hoping that he can be a key player in their revival, as he continues his comeback from injury. The 30-year-old central midfielder participated in an hour of the under-23 game and is ready to help the first team.

"You want to help the lads of course, it's tough to see games and not picking up points," the Belgian midfielder said to the Lancashire Telegraph.

"I've been in training for almost two weeks now and getting a game in is a good thing. I will keep on going now.

"I feel like I can play a part at some point, I think I need to work a bit more to go to a full 90 minutes but I don't think I'm too far off.

"It's just good to be on the pitch, that's the most important thing."
