Bournemouth claimed their second pre-season win in a row with hard-fought 2-1 victory at Portsmouth.

Lys Mousset put the Cherries ahead in the first half at Fratton Park only for the impressive Conor Chaplin to fire Pompey level.

Parity was short-lived though as Benik Afobe restored Bournemouth's lead two minutes later with a deft backheel.

Jermain Defoe came off the bench to make the first appearance of his second spell at Bournemouth as Eddie Howe's men saw out the victory.
