Despite a poor run of form and continued criticism, John Carver has vowed to keep fighting at Newcastle United.
Carver has been up against it since replacing Alan Pardew on an interim basis and now finds his Magpies slipping into a potential relegation battle.
The Toon sit just seven points above the drop zone following Sunday's 3-1 loss to Tottenham which has Carver concerned but he insists he will not throw in the towel as pressure increases on both he and the north east club.
"It's probably the most difficult situation I have ever been in. But I'm a fighter and I'm not going to shirk anything. I'll take the stick and I'll take the responsibility because that's the type of person I am," said Carver.
"But I'm not going to give up on it. Yes, I'm angry and I'm annoyed, and I've got my own thoughts in my head that will stay private. But I have just got to get on with it because nobody else is going to do it."
Nacer Chadli opened the scoring for Spurs in the 30th minute before Jack Colback levelled for Newcastle in the first minute of the second half.
However, a Christian Eriksen free-kick in the 53rd minute and Harry Kane's injury-time goal condemned the Magpies to yet another defeat.
