Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger thinks that debutant Rob Holding's performance in the 4-3 defeat to Liverpool was one of the positives for the Gunners.
The 20-year-old, who arrived from Bolton Wanderers this summer, was handed an unexpected start in the season opener due to unavailability of senior centre-backs Per Mertesacker, Gabriel and Laurent Koscielny.
Following the defeat, Wenger said: "I think he did very well overall.
"He was one of the positives of our game today.
"He has shown intelligence and quality in defending and quality in passing forward and overall I think it's a very positive game [for him]."
