Dean Henderson set for shock Man Utd call

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho may have Dean Henderson on the bench for their FA Cup tie with Blackburn Rovers.

Henderson, whose only senior first-team experience is seven games on loan at Grimsby Town, has been put on standby for the match at Ewood Park because of an injury to David de Gea.

Although the Spaniard's knock isn't believed to be serious, Mourinho is unwilling to take any risks with him ahead of next Sunday's League Cup final against Southampton at Wembley, says the Daily Mail.

The 19-year-old Henderson is in line to understudy Sergio Romero for the FA Cup fixture.

Henderson was recalled from his loan spell at Grimsby a fortnight ago because Mourinho's third-choice 'keeper Joel Pereira suffered a leg injury that's likely to keep him out for six weeks.
