Raul de Tomas hopes for a chance to prove himself to Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane.
After a successful loan with Rayo Vallecano, there's talk of Real cashing in on the striker.
De Tomas, who worked with Zidane as a Castilla player, told Marca: "He was my idol. Even if it was not my position I loved how he played, his class. And as a forward, I've always looked at Cristiano Ronaldo. I also like Karim Benzema a lot.
"You want to show your idol and the one you saw in the stadium who you are. That excess of motivation can take its toll, in its day it happened to me. But hey, it's not something I regret. It's just something I'd like to change.
"You learn from everything. From everything negative you can learn. I hope I can show Zidane who I am and everything goes well."
