Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt has lavished praise on international teammate and Manchester United transfer target Jurrien Timber.
The two centre-halves are key members of the Dutch squad, with Timber hoping to break into a defence that features de Ligt and Virgil Van Dijk.
20-year-old Timber is versatile and can also play as a right-back, and is being linked to United by English and Dutch media.
Asked about Timber by reporters, de Ligt said on international duty: "Jurrien Timber is really good.
"He has done fantastic and he's also been fantastic for Ajax this season, I can only be happy for him."
Asked about competition for places, he added: "That's football, the manager decides who plays."
