De Bruyne worried Belgium pal Hazard will be kicked

Kevin De Bruyne is fearful his Belgium teammate Eden Hazard will be targeted by the opposition in Russia.

The Chelsea star, along with his Manchester City counterpart, will be key to the Red Devils hopes at the World Cup.

And after Hazard picked up an small injury in a recent friendly against Costa Rica, De Bruyne has warned his teammate to “stay calm" when unjustly targeted.

"If you are good then people try to kick you," De Bruyne told the Telegraph. "He is in a position where a lot of people are around him and you get kicked.

"Even if he gets kicked we get a free-kick, an advantage, and they get a yellow, so it is positive. You need to calculate what is coming.

“You try to stay calm as much as possible. Sometimes that isn't easy but you just try."
