New Inter Milan manager Frank De Boer is keen on signing Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen, according to reports from Calcio Mercato.

Eriksen is arguably one of the most important players for Spurs but the attacking midfielder's long-term future at White Hart Lane has been put into doubt recently as he has not yet penned a contract extension despite long drawn negotiations with the club.

There have been talks that Italian giants Juventus are interested in signing Eriksen and now incoming boss De Boer has also allegedly instructed the Nerazzurri board to pursue the Danish international this summer.

Eriksen starred for De Boer at Ajax between 2010 and his 2013 move to Spurs, scoring 29 goals and providing 66 assists in 121 outings under the former Ajax and Barcelona star.
