DC United are set to sell Dejan Jakovic to Japanese outfit Shimizu S-Pulse.
The 28-year old Canadian defender, who has been in Washington since 2009, is on the verge of signing a deal with the J.League Division 1 club.
A DC spokesman told MLSsoccer.com that Jakovic would be offloaded to Shimizu but stopped short of providing the finer details of the proposed deal.
