DC United have been dealt a massive blow on the eve of the MLS play-offs with news that Luis Silva is set to be sidelined for up to six weeks.
The Washington club, who sit on top of the Eastern Conference table, have confirmed on Twitter that the 25-year old midfielder sustained a hamstring injury in the weekend's 3-1 win at Houston Dynamo and will miss at least a month of action.
The injury to Silva, who leads the club with 11 goals this season, comes at a horrible time for Ben Olsen's DC who are still in with a chance of clinching the 2014 MLS Supporters' Shield with two regular season matches remaining.
