Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney has outlined his ambition to become a manager after retiring from his playing career.

The DC United forward is only 33 years of age, but has revealed he has already starting taking steps for his future.

Rooney told United's official club app: "It is something I am passionate about and I want to do.

"Obviously, I need to complete my badges, which I am doing over in the States.

"Hopefully, by the time I come back to England, I will have them completed and be in a position to accept or reject any offers I get."
