DC United agree deal with Sinclair Broadcast Group

DC United have agreed a multi-year partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

As part of the agreement, all of the soccer side's non-nationally televised matches for the 2016 MLS season will be broadcast locally, over the air on WJLA (ABC7) or on cable channel NewsChannel 8.

Every match will include a pre-and-post game show and the agreement provides an opportunity to air DC United content on non matchdays.

Sinclair's new sports division, American Sports Network (ASN), will produce the DC United matches.

Jason Levien, DC United's co-owner and managing general partner, said "This partnership represents an inflection point for the club and our fans.

"It provides us with considerable increases in reach, awareness and fan engagement."
