Fulham boss Martin Jol has welcomed the return of Simon Davies after a nightmare 18 months on the sidelines, reports the Fulham Chronicle. The 33-year-old midfielder has been dogged by injury problems during the past two seasons, restricting him to just seven appearances for the Cottagers.
"I can't remember him playing it was so long ago," admitted Jol.
"He's been injured all the time, came back played in the reserves and got injured again.
"It's very pleasing that he's back because I wanted to involve him."
