Davies: Bolton players relaxed as boss Coyle coveted by other club's

Bolton captain Kevin Davies is not surprised boss Owen Coyle is being linked with bigger club's elsewhere, most notably Liverpool on Roy Hodgson's sacking. Coyle has steered Bolton from the bottom three into the top half in a little over 12 months in charge after being lured from Burnley.

"The speculation doesn't distract us one little bit because it happens with managers like it happens with players," he told the Bolton Evening News.

"Owen Coyle has been very successful in his managerial career so far, and I am sure that there will be clubs looking at him because he's very good at what he does.

"But I think he's really happy here, he knows he's got a good set of players and he enjoys working with them.

"Hopefully we can hold on to him for a while - he can have some success with this team. He is such a positive person, so competitive and a real winner.

"He wants to win at table tennis, head tennis, all the little competitions we have during the week. That rubs off on players. He wants us to be winners."
