Jason Davidson is hoping to bring his best form with him to Australia's pre-World Cup training camp.
The majority of a 30-man preliminary Socceroos has assembled in Gosford to prepare for Brazil 2014 and the 22-year old left-back wants to turn his solid season with Heracles Almelo into assured performances in front of national team boss Ange Postecoglou.
"You are always developing with every training camp and every time I step on the field I feel I've matured over the last 18 months since I made my debut, so I'm just happy the way I'm going," Davidson, who debuted for the Socceroos in August 2012, told AAP.
"I've been working hard all season, had good form and I'm trying to bring that confidence into the national team.
"If I do that I think Ange will stick by me and I have to repay the favour."
Davidson, who joined Heracles from Pacos de Ferreira in 2012, made 30 league appearances as the eastern Netherlands club finished 14th on the Eredivisie table.
