Davidson on the assist but Heracles go down to Oar, Sarota's Utrecht

Jason Davidson had a hand in Heracles Almelo's goal as they were beaten 2-1 by FC Utrecht in the Dutch Eredivisie on the weekend.

The Australian defender provided Mikhael Rosheuvel's 64th-minute goal at the Stadion Galgenwaard as Heracles attempted to come back from a two-goal deficit only to go down to the home side.

Davidson's fellow Aussies Tommy Oar and Adam Sarota featured for Utrecht, whose goals came from Jacob Mulenga and Juan Agudelo, with left winger Oar playing a full 90 minutes while Sarota was subbed off at half-time from the right side of midfield.

The loss saw Heracles drop to 14th on the Dutch top flight table while Utrecht moved into 11th with their tenth triumph of the campaign.
