David Silva rejected bigger money from Lazio and Qatar to sign for Real Sociedad this week.
The Manchester City great has signed a two-year deal - with the option of a third - for €3m-a-year. At Lazio he was offered €4m-a-year
Interestingly, Silva's deal also includes a €60m buyout clause.
Silva ended up opting for La Real because of their way of playing and also knowing that he can help influence the club's younger players.
Silva is particularly a fan of the Basque culture, for it's individual seriousness and predisposition to effort and work, says Mundo Deportivo.
