David Luiz demanding two-year Arsenal contract

David Luiz wants a two-year contract at Arsenal.

The Brazilian centre-back turned in a disastrous performance against Manchester City at the Premier League restart.

But that has not put him off from making a huge demand regarding his next deal.

Luiz knows Mikel Arteta has an injury crisis at centre-back and he wants a two year deal at £120,000-a-week.

The Gunners could extend the deal automatically for a year if they wish, per the Daily Mail.

But the North London club do not want to do anything that would upset the player, as having an unhappy superstar in the squad is not what Mikel Arteta wants.

One option is to give Luiz a lower salary, but to agree on the two year deal.

It would leave them with a chance to sell him next summer for a modest fee if he continues to decline.
