David Luiz has taken a significant pay-cut to stay with Arsenal.
It was announced last week that the defender had re-signed with the Gunners for another 12 months.
The Telegraph says the deal agreed is for much less than he had previously joined Arsenal for when leaving Chelsea last summer.
Luiz, 33, has struggled for form and been heavily criticised since the Premier League restart.
Along with the Brazilian, Arsenal have also made permanent their loan deals for Pablo Mari (Flamengo) and Cedric Soares (Southampton).
