Sulaiman Al Fahim will complete his takeover of Portsmouth on July 24.

That's the claim of Al Fahim ally Anil Bhoyrul, who told The News: "Yes, the takeover will be completed on Friday, July 24 - when Sulaiman Al Fahim will be the new owner of Portsmouth Football Club.

"Terms have been agreed and I know he is meeting Peter Storrie tonight in London.

"We then expect the Premier League to complete its fit-and-proper person's test next week. The deal will then officially be announced on July 24.

"I can tell you, I have seen the documentation and it is very exciting."

Bhoyrul added: "Anybody who has read the documentation I have read will be really pleased. I definitely would be if I was a Portsmouth fan.

"In fact I would rather be a Portsmouth fan than Arsenal at this stage. There are so many ways Sulaiman wants to develop the club and they are very exciting."
