Darmian: Man Utd intent on getting better of Feyenoord at home

Matteo Darmian has stated that Manchester United are determined to get the desired result in the midweek Europa League encounter against Feyenoord.

Following a disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of Fenerbahce last time out, United are currently languishing in third place in their Europa League group and the Red Devils will need a victory when Feyenoord come to Old Trafford on Thursday in order to avoid the embarrassment of being knocked out of the competition.

United defender Darmian has stated that the clash will be a difficult one for his side but has insisted that the Red Devils are fully prepared to claim the three points on the night.

The Italian international told MUTV: "I think it is a difficult group because we have to face a difficult opponent, but we are still in the race.

"We have an important game against Feyenoord and we have to win.

"We'll prepare to make sure we're ready."
