Darlington assistant manager's job waiting for Hull's Windass

Released Hull City striker Dean Windass is set to join Darlington.

BBC Tees says Windass is expected to be named assistant manager at Darlington.

The 40-year-old, who will team up with manager Colin Todd, also has the option of extending his playing career.

Windass played under Todd during his second spell with Bradford before joining Hull for £150,000 in June 2007.
