Danny Welbeck believes he can help Brighton reach the top ten.
The former Manchester United and Arsenal has joined Albion as a free agent after being released by Watford.
Speaking to the club's website, the 30-year-old said: "I know if I can contribute in the way that I want, it will help the club achieve success and that is something I am looking to do.
"I have targets and I want to be playing and doing the thing that I love.
"I feel fit and strong and hopefully I can be involved soon. I am ready.
"I can get in behind, I can hold up the ball and when I get my chances I can put them away. I think the philosophy of the club and the way the manager wants to play is something that will suit my game really well.
"I am a football man and I watch all the games on TV. You envisage yourself playing in different teams and how you think that you can make a difference. This will be a really good fit."
