Daniel Sturridge tells Liverpool: Let me join...

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge WANTS to join Vincenzo Montella's Sevilla.

The LiverpoolEcho says Sturridge has told Liverpool he wants a move to Sevilla.

The Reds turned down a loan request from the Spanish club, insisting that they would only consider an offer for their England striker if it contained an option for a permanent deal at the end of any loan period.

With Inter Milan inching closer to an offer which would guarantee a transfer fee at the end of an initial temporary deal, it was assumed Sturridge would be off to Milan.

Liverpool are adamant they want a transfer fee of around £25m for the forward, but are prepared to write in a loan period with a guarantee of a payment in the summer.

Sources within Anfield though, suggest the 28 year old has held talks with Liverpool's top brass and made clear that he prefers Sevilla's approach.
