Dani Parejo grabs late Valencia winner against Real Betis

Valencia secured a critical 2-1 win against Real Betis on Saturday.

Dani Parejo netted late on for Valencia to earn the triumph for the hosts at Mestalla on Saturday.

It was a vital victory for Los Che who had been winless in five matches in all competitions, and reignites their push for a Champions League spot.

The opener arrived on the hour mark courtesy of Kevin Gameiro following a swift counter attack from the hosts.

Parejo then made sure of the points on 89 minutes as Daniel Wass laid the ball on a plate for the captain who dispatched perfectly.

Loren Moron gave the home fans some late worries as he pulled one back for Betis in injury time following some excellent approach play by Alex Moreno, yet Valencia were able to hold on for a win which moves them up to seventh in LaLiga Santander.
