Dani Alves has no regrets over rejecting Chelsea, Man City

Former Barcelona right back Dani Alves says he has no regrets about turning down a big Premier League move.

Alves went to Paris Saint Germain instead of City last summer, when he was wanted by Pep Guardiola.

And he had also rejected Chelsea in the past.

"I was this close," he said of a possible Chelsea move in his Sky Sports interview.

"I didn't go to Chelsea because of the club, not because of me."

And about a possible City move, he said:

"I thought it was done, that I was going there to work with him [Guardiola].

"I don't know if he got different information, that I didn't want to go or whatever, because since then our relationship hasn't been so good, but it wasn't my fault. I was convinced that I was going to work with him and form part of his team."
