Dane Murphy is leaving Nottingham Forest as chief executive.

Murphy had been with Forest for 18 months after arriving from Barnsley.

"I've never been good at saying goodbye. It is much easier to say thank you and pay tribute to those who have made my time at Forest very special," he said.

"I would like to say thank you to all the players, the coaching staff and all the employees who, over the past 18 months, have helped to build the club to what it is today.

"I am grateful for the reception and treatment that my wife and I have received from the club community. It means more than I can put into words."
