Dan Burn delighted to make Brighton debut for FA Cup stalemate

Brighton defender Dan Burn was delighted to make his debut in their FA Cup stalemate with West Brom.

Burn turned in a man-of-the-match display in the goalless draw.

He said, "I'm pleased with my performance. Obviously I'm not going to get many opportunities here as we've got good international centre-halves, and it's up to me to take my chance when it comes.

“Thankfully I did that. Performance-wise, I thought the lads had a lot of the ball, but probably didn't do enough with it. West Brom were probably good value for the draw.

“There's a bit of frustration, as we've got quality players and we know we're better than that. We had enough balls in and around the box, but we didn't really trouble their keeper.

“That was disappointing from our side, and I thought they were threatening on the attack, as our back six, including Dale [Stephens] and Davy [Propper], did well to stop them from taking the win.

“We probably could've done without the replay, but we want to be in the next round of the cup and on a personal note, it means I can possibly get another game. I would've loved to have gone through, but I'm glad we kept a clean sheet and we're still in the cup."
