He said, "I think off the pitch they have been fantastic ambassadors for themselves and the football club. The way they have conducted themselves and they are more than happy to help people.
"What they have done throughout all of this COVID virus, for me, I think Jordan Henderson has led from the front and by example.
"He was the first one up there with the offer to make donations and he would rather have done it quietly.
"But the way they have organised things and interacted with the community, they have been an absolute credit to themselves and the football club.
"There is no arrogance, no big-headedness, Jurgen is really happy in his own skin and he has done a fantastic job there.
"They deserve to win it. If you have a good dressing room, you have a good chance of winning and they have a really good dressing room.
"Within that, you would think Jordan and James Milner are really strong voices in there and that wouldn't be a problem to anyone either. They are a great credit to the profession."
