Daishawn Redan: Ajax pressure forced me to make Chelsea move

Chelsea whiz Daishawn Redan admits life became unbearable at Ajax in his final months with the club.

Redan is fulfilling his talent at Chelsea after a controversial move from the Dutch giants last year.

The striker forced through the deal after refusing to pen pro terms with Ajax, he told ELF Voetbal: "Then it all got a bit too much for me. Trainers, associates; everyone came to me to ask when I would sign with Ajax.

"I felt pressure from the club. Then I thought: I just do not show up anymore. That was a mistake..."

He continued "They thought me a great talent and were afraid to lose me.

"But it's good to see they've learned from what happened with me."

Redan was referring to Ajax securing Ryan Gravenberch and Brian Brobbey to new deals recently.
