Crystal Palace striker Alexander Sorloth struck a hat-trick for Trabzonspor on the weekend.

The Norway international is on a season-long loan in Turkey and struck his treble in victory over Kasimpasa.

Sorloth's father Goran stated to VG: "He has had a fantastic development, has come to a team that suits him well, and got the role he really wants.

"There is no better life than he has now, he really appreciates what is going on right now, but I think he was a little surprised at how good the environment in the team is."

Palace boss Roy Hodgson intimated on Saturday that wasn't giving up on Sorloth and was expecting him back at Selhurst Park next season.
