New Republic of Ireland cap Greg Cunningham is determined to make Manchester City's preseason trip to the USA.

Cunningham impressed at fullback for Ireland in this week's victory over Algeria.

He told City's website: "I'd love to be part of the pre-season tour to America. I've been out there before with the Academy a couple of years ago when we took part in a tournament and I really enjoyed it out there.

'This season has completely exceeded all my expectations in all honesty."
