Keisuke Honda feels he was not at his best despite scoring in Japan's 3-0 international friendly win over Latvia during the week.
The CSKA Moscow midfielder netted in the 60th minute of the Blue Samurai's home victory but was subbed off two minutes later by Alberto Zaccheroni which he did not look too pleased about.
However, after the match, Honda admitted that he did not perform to the level he wanted and indicated that he will be looking to put in a better shift next time he steps out for his country.
"I'm not satisfied with my performance. I'm not in my top form yet," he told reporters.
"I wanted to play for 90 minutes and improve my physical condition."
Honda, who has scored seven league goals this season, will be back in action for CSKA when the Russian Premier League returns to action from its winter break on March 8.
