CSKA chief confirms Everton sling for Vlasic West Ham sale

CSKA Moscow chief Roman Babaev has offered fresh details on Nikola Vlasic's sale to West Ham United.

Babaev confirmed part of the fee raised will go to Vlasic's former club Everton.

He told Sport-Express: "They turned out to be very difficult. But here we are still talking about the English Premier League. We are very pleased that a CSKA footballer is once again moving to a Premier League club. This means that this is a certain indicator of our level. I cannot disclose the final transfer figures, but they are close to those reported by the media (30 million euros plus bonuses).

"I can only say here that initially West Ham's offer was 19 million. And for a long time the British did not move from this position. So, I think we have managed to achieve significant progress in the negotiations. Overall, we are satisfied with the transfer."

On Everton's cut, Babaev also said: "Yes. And this is normal practice. We initially agreed on this with Everton, which went to meet us halfway. Of course, on the one hand, we revived Vlašić's career, and during his performances at CSKA he reminded of himself in England, from which he left after a bad experience.

"But then Everton took a very constructive position, for which we are grateful. And, of course, Vlašić himself has brought us a lot of benefits. We will definitely remember him with a kind word!"
