Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend is happy playing for manager Roy Hodgson.

Hodgson gave Townsend his first cap as England manager.

Speaking on the former England boss, Townsend said, "Even before he joined Palace, he's a manager who'd always put his faith in me whether I was in the team at Spurs or out of the team, he'd always selected me for the England squads and given me game time. Nine times out of 10 I'd repay that faith.

"Coming here, he's been no different, it's just been on a daily basis. He's very hands on on the training pitch, he likes to do a lot of shape work. He likes to drill into your mind what you're going to face on a Saturday afternoon. It's working for us and long may that continue!"
